As part of our Frozen Kingdom project in Year 6, we followed the journey of the explorer Ernest Shackleton as he tried to cross Antarctica. Having watched their teachers starting in their own ‘Shackleton’ series, they investigated how the journey had gone and what eventually happened to the crew. They wrote recounts of the treacherous part of the journey after the Endurance gets trapped in ice and the crew have to try and make it to safety.
