Today, the children were excited to meet a surprise visitor to launch their What Makes An Olympian topic. Everybody waited and cheered and until at last Olympia emerged from the school building. She ran to each class to present an Olympic torch and a mysterious letter.
Back in their classrooms, the children discovered that the letter was from Mo Farah who has won four Olympic gold medals for the 5000 and 10000 metre races. They are all very excited to find out lots of interesting facts about the Olympic Games this summer. Well done year 1!
