A Winton Football team mixed with Yr 5/6 players took part in AFC Bournemouth’s annual tournament in Ringwood. In this event there is always a high standard of competition because the winners get to play at a Premier League ground representing AFC Bournemouth.
Winton started well but ended up losing their first two matches with little hope of qualifying based on the teams we had to play next. However a more discipline in our shape and the team performed brilliantly to win their next three games and qualify for the semi finals on goal difference! Buddy must get a shout out for his sackful of goals during this period!
In the semi final the boys lost a very close game 1-0 to not quite go all the way but a great afternoon of football had finished on a high. Well done to all of the boys.
