Reception were so excited to go home yesterday and show their families their new writing packs. They already have a reading and a maths pack to continue the learning they do in school at home, and they now have lots of new writing resources to use.
There was some excitement for the pencil, and “ooh” for the gel pen a “whoop” for their own little writing book and Pear Class clapped when they saw there was a whiteboard pen and their very own whiteboard!
Inside the pack the children also found some laminated letter and number sheets and some support for writing stories.
The children were even more excited when they noticed a fairy door had appeared in their classrooms. Behind the door is a fairy who LOVES writing and cannot wait to see the children’s work.
We were so pleased to see the writing trays brimming with little purple books and the fairies were thrilled as well. The children are not only practising their writing skills but also working towards earning a certificate and mini prizes for writing.
