As part of our geography learning in Year 5, we had the opportunity to go to Redhill park and common to carry out different types of fieldwork to help our understanding of the area we live in. We were incredibly lucky to have amazing adults to help us who were from the Dorset Heath Partnership who taught us how and why the local area has changed, how to identify a wide range of plant life on the common and taught us how there are microclimates on the heath using different instruments to measure light, temperature and wind.
