This week in English, Year 4 have been preparing to write an engaging setting description based on our class novel, The Firework-Maker’s Daughter. We explored the dramatic moment when Lila enters the cave and comes face-to-face with the fearsome Fire-Fiend. As a class, we generated a range of vivid and imaginative descriptive phrases, considering what Lila might see, hear, smell and feel as she journeys through the cave. The children shared some fantastic ideas, and we are excited to bring these to life in our writing next week. Ask your Y4 child what ideas they came up with.
