In Year One we have been learning about fractions. We have started by halving and quartering shapes.
We know that if we half something it is split into two equal parts and finding a quarter of something means splitting into four equal parts.
Today we were busy finding halves and quarters of numbers. We used the cubes to partition the number in half, sharing them by two circles and then noticed we could half the number again to find a quarter
