School Council Update!
This half term we have been busy collecting information about our new curriculum we have started this year at Winton. The children all helped us make a quiz to ask every class to make sure we got answers from every child in the school.
The results came back, all incredibly positive about the changes we have made this year. The children all told us they really enjoy the practical elements of the subjects and want to do more group work, practical activities and more use of computers and Ipads. They told us their learning seemed to be pitched just right, and they enjoyed the challenges they now do in every lesson.
They also told us they want to do more experiments in science, and spend more time doing outdoor learning. All really great feedback which the teachers will use to inform their planning going forward.
Today some of the Year 5 and 6 councillors met with Mrs James to tell her the feedback we had found, and she was really pleased with the outcome. Watch this space for more changes and some exciting fundraising in the summer term.
