Winton’s Yr 5 and 6 Athletics team competed in the Indoor Athletic league last week. There were lots of rapid fire events including multiple sprint and obstacle relays, javelin throws, speed bounce jumping and long / triple jumps where athletes got points depending on the distance of their throws, the length of their jumps (including a vertical jump) or the position they finished in a race. Our team performed well coming in 3rd place overall. Congratulations to all the children involved.
