Finger fluency in Year 6

As part of our learning in design and technology this year, Year 6 have been learning about how to prepare vegetables by using a variety of different cutting techniques. Today we learnt about the bridge and the claw technique. This allowed us to cut in different ways. We thought carefully about finger placement and how they allow us to cut successfully as well as keeping us safe. Our evaluations then led us to think about what types of food would be best for each technique. Mr Keeley then roasted our vegetables in our outside kitchen using our own grown herbs.
