Year One are enjoying their Geography lessons. They have been learning to name the countries in the United Kingdom and locate them on a map. They have also learnt about the British Isles and which islands are included. They have identified the flags for England and Scotland. More recently the children have been learning about the capital cities of England and Scotland, as well as famous landmarks in the United Kingdom. It has been lovely to hear about the children’s own adventures and experiences when visiting areas of the United Kingdom.
