School Council!

This year the school council has worked really hard on many areas to improve our school.

Not only have we made sure news is shared in newsletters and assemblies, we have made sure every child has had a vote on what we have changed.

We have…

  • Re-opened the daily mile at lunchtime and playtimes.
  • Used lots of suggestions from the suggestion boxes to make small changes around school, we will keep this up next year, so have a think over the holidays of any more changes you would like to see.
  • We have helped year 6 decide which items we could buy for their enterprise.
  • We have made changes to what you wanted to buy on the tuckshop, giving more choice for snacks at breaktime.
  • We ordered lots of new toys for lunchtime plays. These have been fantastic at keeping everyone busy at lunchtime.
  • We voted for the new play ground equipment which will be assembled in the summer holidays.
  • We made changes to the stalls that we had on offer this year at our summer fair for the PFA.
  • And we asked if toys wanted to be used at morning play too, this change will be implemented in September in the new school year.

These are all huge changes which I’m sure you can agree, we should be really proud of! Today we treated our school councillors with an ice-cream in the sunshine for all their hard work. If you would like to be a school councillor next year, make yourself known to your new teacher, and we will look forward to our first meeting again in September!

Have a brilliant Summer holiday.
