Year 5 have been building on their learning of animal classifications to learn about the life cycles of different animals. This week, we learnt the life cycle of a mammal and here you can see the children ordering images of the stages.
It was interesting to discuss the similarities between the animals and look at some mammals that don’t fit the rule like monotremes that lay eggs instead of giving birth to live young.
Next we will find out about the life cycles of birds, amphibians and insects and compare these to mammals, including humans. We’re looking forward to hearing your reasoning Year 5!
