In Reception we have been learning about the signs of Autumn. We talked about the four seasons we have across the year and how they change.
Now we have moved into Autumn, we looked at how the weather has changed, as well as how the days have become shorter. We all talked about how it is darker when we wake up in the morning, and it is darker when we are having our dinner too. We noticed that the leaves have started to change colour and have fallen off the trees, and the plants that used to have flowers on are now looking rather bare. We now need to wear more clothes too, because the weather is getting colder, and we also have much more rain.
Yesterday we put our coats on and headed out for a walk around our school environment to see what signs of autumn we could see. We had lots of fun looking at the trees changing, the plants that had been cut back ready for winter. We even noticed some conkers and acorns that we thought some animals might like to take, ready for the winter ahead. When you are out on a walk on your way home, or at the weekend, take a look and see what signs of Autumn you can see!
