This week in Reception, we have been looking at directions and map making. In class, children have been helping their teachers create a map of the receptions area and their journey from the classroom to the hall for assemblies.
Outside, children have been creating their own maps and directing our TAs from Apple classroom door to the bark area. As well as this, children have been making their own towns using our wooden blocks making sure to include roads for cars.
Inside, children have been creating their own town with our small world objects and creating roads and routes for the people of their town to take.
