When learning about the events that happened during ‘The Great Fire of London’, Year 2 were lucky enough to have a visit from a firefighter. He taught the children about the equipment used in 1666 compared to the equipment firefighters use now. Whilst also reminding us how to keep safe if there ever was a fire.
At the end of the visit, he challenged the children to create a fire safety poster, with the winner getting a tour of the fire station with their adult after school. Well done to Margot in 2KL who, along with some adults and friends, visited the fire station after school. It looks like a great time was had!
