Micro:bits are tiny computers that contain various sensors and outputs. Children in Year 6 have been learning how to use them and today’s task was to design and code a program to turn the Micro:bit into a ‘motivational step counter’. The program had to use the built in accelerometer to count the number of steps a person had taken then display that number with an appropriate message, depending on the number of steps taken.
