This half term in Year 5 our main topic is outer space. As part of our learning, we have been investigating a famous artist by the name of Peter Thorpe. He is an American artist who is most known for his space age style which included rockets. His work was inspired by his love of all things space. The children have been learning about his influences and career and have created a double page artist fact file ( which is something they will also do in secondary school) to help them eventually create their own Peter Thorpe style art.
