Year 1 have loved arts weeks and learning new skills. They have developed their rolling, moulding and pressing skills to create clay leaves. They used different clay tools to draw their outline, cut the clay and carve in the details before leaving to dry. They look beautiful on our tree display in the Year 1 base!
The children have been working on their weaving skills. They practised using paper, remembering to go over and under to create a pattern. Afterwards, they used strips of fabric to weave through chicken wire to create the trunk of a tree. We were very impressed with their efforts!
