The children in Year 1 have been busy designing and sewing flags this term. First, they looked at and evaluated different flag designs. Then, they chose which flags they liked and why. After, the children designed their very own flag, including an emblem that represented themselves! Finally, the children measured and cut the pieces they needed. Then, they were ready to sew! The children learnt how to use a running stitch to attach their pieces together. What a fantastic job they did, well done Year 1!
