Last week 37 children attended Town Sports. This was the annual Bournemouth School’s Athletics competition (with over 86 events) which is an action packed day full of sprints, jumps and throws at Kings Park Athletics stadium.
There were a number of great achievements on the day but the highlights included:
Benji not only becoming town champion in the 600m but also smashing the town record!
Hugo doing exactly the same winning his 150m sprint final and breaking the town record too!
The year 5 boys ( George, Jenson, Benji and Hugo) bringing home a lovely shield for winning the 4 x 100m relay.
Jack coming 2nd in the boys Yr 6 High Jump.
The Yr 6 Boys (Jack , Junior , Tommy and Connor ) coming 2nd in the final of the 4x100m relay.
Jenson coming 3rd in the Yr 5 boys long jump.
Well done to all of our athletes. You did Winton proud.
