The children in Year 2 have been learning about fractions.
They started their learning by identifying if an object had been split into equal or unequal parts.
Then they investigated if numbers could be split into 2, 3, 4 or 5 equal parts.
Following lessons explored halves, quarters and thirds. They looked at different images and discussed if they show a half, quarter or third or not.
The children then applied this knowledge to solve reasoning problems.
