This week, Year 3 have been conducting scientific investigations to find out how things move on different surfaces. In their first investigation, they used a ramp and a toy car to measure how far the car moved on different surfaces, carefully measuring the distance using metre sticks.
In their second investigation, they attached different materials to the feet of wind up snowmen to see what impact this had on how far they travelled up a hill.
The children learnt about how to make a fair test and found out lots about friction.
