After a full day of outdoor activities, the children have had their first evening meal at Hooke Court. Whilst there were a few sleepy eyes, we still had time for one more activity!
We made our way across the dark fields, torches shining brightly, to an atmospheric Egyptian room. Here we looked at ancient hieroglyphs and Egyptian art, whilst also learning how this art would have been produced.
The Year 4 children then had a go at creating their own Egyptian gods and goddesses using pastels. Finally, they had the experience of crawling through a tunnel into a dark, Egyptian tomb where there creations were exhibited across the walls, illuminated only by the flicker of torchlight…
