Last week, at The Roy Moore Sports Hall in Avonbourne, 21 athletes that made up Winton’s Indoor Athletics team gave a huge cheer at the announcement that Winton had finished top of their league once all of the event points had been totalled. This meant that Winton had qualified for the Bournemouth finals in just a few weeks time. Over the course of two hours the children ran, threw and jumped in events such as: The Speed Bounce, Javelin Throw, Triple Jump, Chest Pass, Vertical Jump, Under/Over Relay, Obstacle Relay, 1 Lap Sprints and more. Often with 5 events going on at once the atmosphere and action was electric. Our team did really well and showed great team spirit. On to the final!
