Mile House Competition

Last week the whole school continued their pursuit of house points with the second house competition of the year so far. This was a running challenge with the children gaining a house point for every lap they completed during their two Daily Mile sessions of the week within curriculum time. There was also an opportunity to gain bonus house points every lunch time by running 1 or more laps and picking up colour house tokens each lap as they did so. A lot of children exceeded their daily mile (4 laps of the running track) and put a massive amount of house tokens (Red, Blue, Yellow or Green) into the scoring bucket.

In the picture below you can see the house captains are regularly updating the totals to see which house can prevail by the end of the year. Lots more exciting House competitions coming up including a quick fire spelling burst in a few weeks.
