This week in PSHE in Year 2 we have been talking about what a good friend is. We decided that a good friend was someone who was kind to others, shared and included others in their games. As part of our discussion, we spoke about loneliness and that loneliness is a feeling everyone feels from time to time. If loneliness is making you feel sad for a long time, we identified people we could talk to (parents, teachers and friends). We also said that being alone or wanting to be alone was completely normal. During our lesson we spoke about what to do if our friends wanted to be alone at playtimes. We thought that we should respect their decision and know that they are still our friend and we can play with them another day. Here are some examples of our work.
