This week in maths, Year 3 have been learning to tell the time. They started the week looking at o’clock, quarter past, half past and quarter to times. They learnt how to read these times on a clock face, as well as practising how to draw the hands on a clock face themselves, focussing on making the minute hand longer than the hour hand to make their times accurate. Then they moved on to looking at telling the time to 5 minutes. Finally, they recapped how many hours are in a day, how many days are in a year and how many months are in a year, before using this to solve different word problems. Here are some examples of the work that they did:
Good work Year 3, well done!
