As a measure of the provision and quality your child recieves in PE each year Primary Schools can apply for a School Games Mark award. For the last four years Winton have received the top award which has been a gold Sports Mark.
This year The School Games have introduced a new platinum award that shows outstanding levels of committment to giving children access to a range of competition and sporting education. We are delighted to announce that only two primary schools in the whole of Bournemouth achieved this award and Winton Primary was one of these schools!
The School Games Mark is a Government led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.
