Bronze Ambassador Trip To BU

Last Friday morning 45 Year 5/6 students who had reached 40 hours of Bronze Ambassador Sports Leadership hours, for helping PE across the school, were rewarded with a trip to Bournemouth University. The Sports Leaders had gained their hours through helping organise and taking charge of lunch time PE activities, volunteering to help out at after school clubs (including designing lesson ideas and taking warm ups) and helping in PE lessons or whole school events such as The Fun Runs or Sports Days.

Once we had walked to The University the children split into two groups and either went outside to do a range of team building activities such as Ultimate Frisbee, Drain Pipe Mania and Chaos/Noodle Tag or they stayed indoors and did a range of Fun PE stations such as catching balls by diving on a bouncy castle, playing a game of reactions by tapping electronic lights that appeared on a huge wall or completing a gymnastics course of high and low equipment amongst others.

Our Bronze Ambassadors have been amazing this year so it was great to be able to give them their own bonus PE sessions to prove that their hard work really was appreciated and to enable them to realise the skills and successes they have picked up along the way!
