Every Springtime we enter the Bournemouth In Bloom Schools Competition and this year was no exception. The theme for 2024 was the 200th anniversary of the RNLI.
All of the plants in the flower bed were sewn by year 4 children using seeds that had been collected from around the school. The Outdoors Indoors Club designed and made some amazing artwork and fact cards about lifeboats and on the day the judges arrived we even had a performance from year 1 who sang a sea shanty to the judges.
We managed to finish 3rd in the competition and our garden was Highly Commended by the judges. Our blue plaque has already been hung by the entrance to the courtyard garden and we are all incredibly pleased and proud of the result. Next year we want 1st place!!
