Recently, Year 2 were lucky enough to have a visit from an artist. She taught the children different sketching techniques and showed us how to use lines of different thicknesses in our work. After experimenting with lots of warm up sketching games, the children had a look at a still life image. The image was created based upon things taken on board the Titanic, or left behind in the wreckage of the Titanic. After choosing a starting point the children got busy sketching, using the techniques they had learnt. The results were fantastic and the children will be showcasing their work in a gallery at school soon. Super work Year 2!
