Year One have loved their science lessons this term and have enjoyed learning about materials. Each lesson has been focused on a different material and the children have loved finding classroom objects made of that material. We have been so impressed with the children’s learning and they have used excellent vocabulary to describe the materials. It has been lovely to hear the children using words such as transparent, opaque, bendy, rigid, smooth and shiny. When learning about metal the children discovered which materials were magnetic. They also made some great predictions when discovering which plastic materials would float and sink. It has been great to see the children’s learning in their topic books. Well done Year One!
