The Year 1 children have had a fantastic trip walking around Moordown exploring the land use around our school. Over the past half-term, the children have been learning about the key features of a city, town, village, coastal or rural area and have been using simple fieldwork and observational skills to study the geography of the school and the key human and physical features of its surrounding environment. We have been really impressed with the knowledge that the children have developed. They have shown their understanding through explaining the similarities and differences of a geographical area and were able to extend their learning to a real-life experience on our walk. Well done Year 1!
