In maths we have been learning about equal groups. As a class, the children enjoyed spotting whether groups of objects were equal. If the groups were not equal they were able to explain why and took away or added objects to make each group the same. They were able to describe the groups using the language of ‘There were _ equal groups of _’. They then solved repeated addition calculations. Well done year 1!
