This half term we have been busy being Artists!
We have taken our inspiration from the TV Show ‘Art Attack’ and have made lots of different bits of art work. We have developed our instruction making to create a video for some local nurseries so they could make their own bit of art too. This week we have been using different techniques to manipulate clay.
We have been studding ‘Morph’. We looked at his features and thought about how we could make him using clay. We started by rolling out the clay, using tools we made the shape of his body and cut away the excess. From this we could then create a 3D effect to make his features stand out. We used some water to smooth out his body then added his eyes, nose and mouth to bring him to life.
We all had a very messy morning, and really enjoyed using the clay. I wonder what you will make over the holidays?
