Over the last term, Year 5 have been very lucky to have the opportunity to participate in live lessons on a Thursday afternoon with the famous educator and writer Pie Corbett. Each week, we start with a word game to get our brains going followed with a focus on different sentence types that will help us with our blogging challenge at the end.
Over the term we have written imaginative poems, an adventure story based on an air ship and are now looking at dragons and using our non-fiction writing to be persuasive.
As well as writing our own work, we have been reading our blogging buddies work and leaving comments on them. Each week, we leave a comment saying something we like about it, a question we have and something which we think could be improved.
