Year 5 have made a wonderful start back to school after our lockdown period and have thrown themselves into our forces topic. Last week, both the children who were in school and those at home, learnt about friction and thought about different ways that we could test which surfaces produce the most friction.
Today we put our learning to the test and using a shoe, a Newton meter and 4 different surfaces, we tested which surfaces at school produced the most friction. We then used our Maths skills to work out the mean (average) of our results to help us make conclusions about our results and use our scientific knowledge to explain them.
