During the half term holiday Year 1 did not stop reading! After the short break the children were excited to come back to school and share the interesting places they had taken their reading books. It was also lovely to hear that lots of the children had even started reading chapter books and have enjoyed sharing these with their families. Fantastic!
Many of the children wanted to share their exciting stories with the class and have been sending their pictures in to their Year 1 teachers. We were so excited to receive so many pictures! Lots of the children wanted to read their books in rather spooky places, pumpkin patches and haunted houses were a favourite spot.
A huge well done to the children who also wanted to read their books to lots of different people (and animals!)… these giraffes look like they are really enjoying this book! Well done for all the fantastic reading Year 1, it is a genuine pleasure to see you are all loving to read so much. Keep it up!
