Stone Age Houses

This half term, Year 3 have been working hard to learn all about the Stone Age. They have been finding out about how people in the Stone Age would have lived and how they would have built their homes.  Year 3 learnt that the Stone Age was a long period of time and that the ways that the houses were built developed and changed throughout the eras.  With this new knowledge, Year 3 set out to create their own model of a Stone Age house. They planned their house, considering what equipment and materials they would need to build it.

Year 3 then moved on to building their house, using felt in place of animal skin and chop sticks in place of logs.

The houses they created were fantastic and it was wonderful to see them all put together to create their own Stone Age settlement.
