Random Acts of Kindness

Year 1 have just started their topic called Random Acts of Kindness. They recieved a video from some wild animals in distress-

The children were saddened to see how humans are destroying wild animals habitats and want to do something to help them. Over the next few weeks the children will be learning about animals and how they are classified. They will also be learning the Hindu religion and how Hindu beliefs can make the world a better place; linking this to saving the planets animals.

At the end of the topic the children will hold a cake sale in order to raise money to sponsor an animal of their choice, they will also be taking posters to Marwell Zoo to encourage others to sponsor endangered animals.

Here is some of the writing the children did as a result of watching the video. The children decided they wanted to draw the animals living happily in their natural habitats.
