Preparation for VE day

It’s all go in Year 6 as we prepare for our VE day party. Each class will be learning to Lindy Hop in groups to show off their dance moves as well as learning the classic ‘Run rabbit, run’ ready to perform. Miss Long is running a bunting production line where children are honing their sewing skills to create Union Jack bunting to hang around the hall and Mrs Stone is creating informational leaflets about war time and the continuing use of rations. Mr Crowter has still got his spy hat on and is teaching the students how to create their own Morse Code machine and messages that they can send.

Year 6 will be holding their VE day party for families to attend on Wednesday 26th of February from 2 – 3pm in the small hall. Come along and watch performances, learn about war time survival and get in the know about how to send messages through dots and dashes. Cake and refreshments will also be available for a donation. Hope to see you there.
