Each week Year 2 enjoy two fun packed whole class reading sessions. The books this half term have been very exciting! 2KL and 2HS have been reading Meerkat Mail and 2KB and 2SP have been reading Wombat Goes Walkabout. As part of our whole class reading the children get to act out some of the new vocabulary they have learnt such as solitary, consists, prefer, original, nocturnal and crustaceans.

The children really enjoy sharing books and at the end of the sessions they can talk about the action of the characters as well as use their developing inference and prediction skills to talk in more depth about the stories they are sharing.
