Since the beginning of January Year 3 have been participating in a variety of outdoor learning activities with Mrs Weston. You may have spotted some green fingered groups around the school grounds!
The children tell me that they have been busy chitting potatoes, planting baby trees outside and planting peas in the greenhouse. During our science lessons the children have learnt what plants need to help them grow, so they have been busy adding leaf mould and fruit waste from the composter to the soil to help their new additions grow.
You can now find Year 3 outside the Year 5 cloakrooms on a Thursday selling (very proudly) some of their wares, including snowdrops, crab apple trees, aloe vera plants, rosemary and sage. So please come and visit.
