Last week the children in Year 2 were scientists and investigating properties of materials in order to build a new house for the three little pigs.
The children were given a selection of materials; plastic, paper, wood, metal, fabric and glass and then had to predict which material would be waterproof and strong.
Each table had a selection of the materials, a little pig, a pipette and some water.
They decided that to be a scientist it had to be a fair test so would only change the material each time and keep the pig and the amount of water the same.

Once the investigations were carried out the children then concluded that the strongest and most waterproof material was metal.
