Exploring the polar regions

This half term in Year 6, we have been exploring the geographical and biological importance of the polar regions and what would happen if they did not exist. We have all been inpsired after looking at historical explorers and the bravery and commitment they showed towards their dreams of exploration. Looking towards more modern times and the crisis that the polar regions are in, we have watched clips of David Attenborough and were inspired to create our own creative writing based on it. A lucky few are going to be sent off to Mr Attenborough to share our own ideas with him.

In English, we are also exploring the polar regions and will be writing our own non-chronological reports on a polar animal. These will be displayed in Winton Library over the Christmas period so make sure that you pop in to have a look.
