Reception have been learning about The Queen for the past few weeks and it culminated in a fantastic dress up day. The children loved donning their princess dresses, pretending to be a king or even being a knight, ready to protect the royal family.
They even had a mini garden party, where they decorated a biscuit and ate it with the whole year group outside in the garden.
Over the last few weeks the children have been learning facts about Queen Elizabeth II and have made fact cards. Here is one Cherry Class made together, they think The Queen is a truly wonderful person!
The children have also been making portraits of the queen using paint and also in the style of Andy Warhol.
Finally the children have been making their very own story about Queen Elizabeth II. They have innovated a story by Steve Antony.
If you fancy having a read of the stories head to Waterstones at Castlepoint where you can find it on display by the tills!
