This week, Year 3 created their own Roman soldiers made out of pegs, foil, straws, wire and tissue paper. They watched a ‘Blue Peter’ style demonstration, and then created their own versions. They chose what colour tunics their solider had, designed the flag that they were proudly holding and then drew the face of their Roman solider.
Year 3 showed perseverance when having to carry out the ‘fiddly’ bits of the task, determination to make sure their soldiers were finished with all of their parts, and supportiveness by helping others that were finding elements of the task tricky.
Great work Year 3!
