This week Year 5 & 6 have successfully cycled the distance from our school to the gates of Buckingham Palace. This is a distance of just over 167km. Each child completed a minimum of 1km and the journey took us 2 days in total.
The money raised will be going to our charity of the year, Piam Brown Ward at Southampton General Hospital, to help support children and their families whilst going through a terrible illness. The money goes towards overnight stays and food for parents and siblings, as well as activities and toys for the children whilst they are in hospital.
We have had lots of fun raising the money so far. Thank you to those that have been bringing in your spare change, please keep this going as every little bit counts for those that need it.
Well done year 5 and 6, a valiant achievement!
