TT Rockstars is up and running for the 2018/19 school year. Our year twos are having great fun singing along to Joan Jet and the Blackhearts, Status Quo and Queen to name a few, as they attempt to complete 60 times table questions in 3 minutes. We are focussing on the 2s, 5s and 10x table eventually progressing to 3s. As the children become more confident they will not only be getting times table questions, but the inverse division number problems. Eg. 5×6=30, 30÷5=6, 30÷6=5.
Knowing times tables instantly is crucial to our children’s future success in mathematics and learning through Times Tables Rockstars is a fun way for the children to learn their times tables. Don’t forget children can access this great resource at home!
As the week progresses we can see the children becoming more confident with the times table they are focussing on and improving their times and scores. This week we have had times ranging from 1:10 to 3:00.
